Unknown people broke into the Nairobi home of Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior in Riverside area and stole household goods valued at thousands of shillings. Mutula Junior had left the house for shopping at the nearby Kasuku centre Sunday evening and when he came back he realised the break-in. Apparently, the attack took place in less than 20 minutes, officials said. Mutula Junior told police he lost Sh20,000, electronic appliances, mobile phones and jewellery valued at more than Sh300,000.
Nairobi police boss Benson Kibue said no one was in the house at the time of the raid as his family had also travelled and he does not have a guard there. “The buglers timed when he had left the home and broke into the house stealing property. We are investigating the incident,†said Kibue
