This week, dad-of-two Chris Coulter told his tale of how he shed more than 15st thanks to a weight loss plan and regular exercise.
After spending 15 years overweight, the 51-year-old contracted painful cellulitis in one of his legs, which caused it to become ulcerated.
So, the grandad-of-three joined his local Slimming World and, within three years, has lost a massive 15st 11lbs - plus he's set up a healthy catering business which fits into his new lifestyle.
He isn't the only person with an incredible weight loss story, however, as we look at six inspiring tales of triumph from other dieters across the world who have shed an incredible 64 stone between them.
A man shed 9st when he spent £6,000 to join a year-long kick boxing camp in Phuket - but was detained at the airport when he tried to leave.
In March last year, Ross Connor, 33, travelled to Thailand to shed the pounds at a Muay Thai boxing camp, training for four hours a day for 12 months in the blistering weight.
After dropping from 21st to just 11st, officials didn't believe he was the same person and detained him at the airport until he produced photos that documented his fitness regime.
Ross, of Peterborough, said: “It was a worrying moment. I knew I’d lost a lot of weight, but I never expected they wouldn’t let me on the plane."
An obese virgin who smashed his girlfriend's head through a wall the first time they had sex lost a whopping 16st - and became a ladies' man in the process.
Gregg Casarona was 31st when he lost his virginity with girlfriend Jennifer, but his size left her in the emergency room when he accidentally sent her head crashing through the wall behind.
When she split with him he took up kickboxing, the gym and zumba and dropped down to 15st. He now works as an extra in shows such as Law and Order SVU and Blue Bloods.
Gregg, from Long Island, New York, said: "Obviously a gentleman would never divulge how many women he has been with. What I will say is I get a lot more attention from women now I've lost all the weight, which is another fantastic perk."
A mum-of-three who got stuck in a turnstile at a rugby game shed more than 11st from her 23st frame after she suffered the embarrassment of being wedged in it.
Hayley Edwards, 30, lost half her body weight and now has a new lease of life as she's able to join her kids on theme park rides that she was too big for before.
