Anthony Quayle flew into a violent rage when he discovered then partner Chloe Herschell alone in a room with Daniel Prince before the bride was forced to intervene. A wedding day descended into a drunken brawl after a guest found his girlfriend in bed with another man. Anthony Quayle flew into a violent rage when he discovered then partner Chloe Herschell alone in a room with Daniel Prince. Such was the ferocity of the attack Mr Prince was left with a footprint on his bloodied face. Bride, Lorna Colton, to find the brawl as she arrived to see the door off its hinges and Quayle kicking Mr Prince in the head as he lay drunk and helpless on the floor. Manchester Crown Court heard how the big day ended in violence as Quayle appeared to face a charge of causing grevious bodily harm.
Quayle, from Denton, who runs a car valeting business, has since split with the woman at the centre of the row. Unknown to the him at time, the scene he stumbled on at the Britannia Hotel in Northenden had an innocent explanation. Earlier that night, Mrs Colton had found Ms Herschell ‘heavily intoxicated’ and upset after a row with Quayle. The court heard the bride suggested that rather than go back to the couple’s room, Ms Herschell stay in Prince’s room, because it had two beds. However, later on that night, Quayle was seen wandering about the bar looking for his partner. Concerned, the bride asked the duty manager to come upstairs with her. But they were too late – Quayle had found his partner and launched the attack. Quayle then swore at Ms Herschell before fleeing the scene.
