Two men caught with donkey meat
Two middle-aged men have been arrested by police officers in Isinya, Kajiado County, with more than 2,000 kilograms of donkey meat. The meat is said to have been acquired from seven slaughtered donkeys and was being ferried to Burma market for sale to unsuspecting Nairobians. The two were arrested at a police roadblock near Kitengela town after officers became suspicious of the contents of the two saloon cars each was driving. The meat had been stashed in plastic bags in the boot and under the seats of the vehicles. One suspect led police officers to Isinya where they had slaughtered the animals Skeletons and internal organs of the seven donkeys were strewn all over the place.
