A man in Nyeri County has killed his girl friend and hang himself.
According to neighbors Jack Muchemi and his girl friend Monica Wairimu
went home drunk on Wednesday evening and nothing was heard from the
house until Friday morning when Muchemi’s grandmother saw a dangling
body when she peed through the window. The old lady, who could not utter
a word is said to have gotten worried of the whereabouts of her
grandson and decided to peep through the window of his house since the
door was locked from the outside with a padlock. Wairimu’s neck was slit
using a sharp knife and also had deep cuts on the head while Muchemi
was found hanging from the roof of the one-roomed house at Classic area
near Nyeri town. They were both aged around 40 years of age.
