A 23 year old student from Fresno State University has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a sheep. The unidentified student was caught on Tuesday morning after a fellow student heard bizarre noises coming from the agriculture department’s barn situated on the campus.
Police were called and arrested the 23 year old a short time later; he has been charged with sexual assault of an animal. The sheep, which is part of the university’s breeding program was treated by veterinarians and is being monitored closely.
A police statement said that the unnamed student was under the influence of alcohol when he was arrested, and according to the local press the student told police officers he did it because he was stressed out about midterm exams.
Marisa Burkdoll, a student who works with the animals on the university’s campus told the press, “It’s just kind of disgusting and revolting and personally makes me angry. I mean, why would you do that?
“It’s just kind of sick. It’s unnatural and the animals they can’t really, I mean they can’t defend themselves. They can to an extent but they’re innocent, you know what I mean?”
