Azimo launches money transfer service to Kenya's M-Pesa

Online money transfer service Azimo has announced that customers across Europe can now send money instantly to the mobile wallets of M-Pesa's 19 million subscribers in Kenya. Azimo's new service means Kenyan migrants can now send money home to support their loved ones, Biztech reported. Azimo claims rates up to 85 percent cheaper than high street banks and traditional money transfer providers. The service is available across the UK and euro zone, including Italy, Ireland and Germany. Funds are delivered instantly, enabling M-Pesa customers to withdraw money from any M-Pesa agent outlet or participating ATM network in Kenya. Registering to use Azimo is free. To send money, customers need the recipient's name exactly as it appears on their M-Pea account and their mobile number.
