The young girl is removed from her coffin in the church in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, in the Philippines.
After she started breathing again, her father lifted her out of the coffin and took her to hospital.
She was pronounced dead on Saturday after being taken to hospital the day before suffering from a fever for several days
Inspector Heidil Teelan told the Philippines Star: "During that time, the attending clinic personnel and physician confirmed that the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning about 9am."
It was only when one of her parents' neighbours removed the lid of the coffin to arrange the girl's remains that she saw the three-year-old move.
Teelan added: "We really can not make confirmation on the status of the girl but based on the observation of the police personnel I deployed it appeared the girl remained in a state of comatose in their house."
After being lifted out of the coffin she was given water and taken to the hospital before returning home with her parents.
There have been several cases of people waking up at their own funeral.
Mourners in Zimbabwe thought Brighton Dama Zanthe, 34, had come back to haunt them when he was spotted moving in his coffin.
In Lexington, Mississippi, Walter Williams about to be embalmed when he woke up in a bodybag after being declared dead when his pacemaker stopped.
Meanwhile two-year-old Kelvin Santos woke up and asked for a glass of water during his funeral in Belem, north Brazil. However, he laid down again and was confirmed dead for a second time.
A waiter in Egypt woke up moments before he was due to be buried when doctors declared him dead following a heart attack.
