The Kenya Arts Diary 2015 was launched at the Heinrich Böll Stiftung offices on Forest Road in Nairobi on Tuesday evening. The Kenya Arts Diary, founded by celebrated glass artist Nani Croze and in its fifth year, is a publication featuring the work and profile of over 60 artists including Gor Soudan, Xavier Verhoest and Patrick Kibe.

The proceeds from the sale of the book will go a long way in funding Kezia Nduta, the Kenya Arts Diary's Residency Award (KADRA) winner 2014.

In his remarks the guest of honour German ambassador Andreas Peschke said that the success of the arts diary showed the need to connect artists and art lovers in Kenya.

“It is very essential to promote Kenyan artists and to put the art scene on a higher level,“ he said.

In attendance at the event were Heinrich Boll Stiftung director Katrin Seidel, Kuona Trust director Sylvia Gichia and British council country director Tony Reilly.
