In response, Outa demanded to know from Obura why he was claiming that his popularity was waning in Nyando. Olago further said that Obura retaliated by saying that it was the plain truth and that ODM needed a stronger candidate for it to recapture the seat. Obura is reported to have told Outa that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his brother Oburu Oginga had to come to the rescue of the Nyando MP following the hostile reception he was getting in his constituency. Oduol and Olago had to come in between the two MPs that were now charging at each other exchanging unprintable words. The bitter exchange of words between the two continued all the way to Nairobi with Olago’s efforts to have them solve their issues amicably bearing no fruits.
